What is SerenityFX?

SerenityFX was developed by two computer enthusiasts that tired of the constant bickering and personal attacks often seen on major forums. After meeting on one said [or should I say “sad”] forum, these two shared just how tiresome it was to see all the immature and negative things often posted by select individuals. Those negative, and often offensive, individuals made those forums an unpleasant place to meet and share information. Wanting desperately to have “A place to just relax”, the SerenityFX Website and forums were born!

We at SerenityFX hold to a principal of freedom, to express yourself freely as long as that expression is done with tact, compassion and understanding. We come from all walks of life, with a variety of personal beliefs, skills, and diverse backgrounds. It is those differences that make us all unique, and as such we can sometimes disagree on certain topics. We agree to disagree, and as such it is imperative that no matter what differentiates us from one another, we come together here to accept those differences and to honor one another despite them.

In the past, we have seen those that would insist everyone thought and believed as they do, or they’d make trouble for other members or the Administrative staff. While differences in opinion are acceptable, and often educational [sometimes even funny], one thing that will NOT be tolerated is bigotry. We at SerenityFX each have our individual belief systems, religious and political preferences, and come from a varied cultural and regional background. It is in accepting these differences and working together that sets us apart, yet unifies us as a group. Being able to accept each other for whom and what we are is the primary goal of this forum.

We all have dreams, and SerenityFX was the culmination of a dream that two had shared. It is in sharing those dreams with each other that makes our Site a relaxing place to visit. If not for those dreams, it would never have been that SerenityFX came to be.

Our Site is a place for varied beliefs; a place to feel secure that no one persons’ own beliefs will be overshadowed by anothers’. By sharing our beliefs openly, and without ridicule or fear, we will remain what we’d set out to accomplish; a place to just relax. While it is unfortunate that there are those who would belittle or degrade those individual beliefs that set each of us apart, it is in the interest of security and self-protection that those seeking to impose their beliefs on others will be asked to leave, or if they do not do so willingly, they will be permanently banned. This is our primary premise, and probably the one thing more than anything else we must uphold.

I am confident that as long as we adhere to these basic principals, a basic understanding of individual rights and beliefs and the freedom to express the same, that the SerenityFX forums will have a bright future. Being able to share our individual technical experiences, personal experiences, differing beliefs, thoughts, dreams, or even the occasional problems that crop up in each of our lives,…. These are the primary principals on which our foundation was formed.

With all the wars, anger, hatred…; all that is taking place around the world at this very moment, it is important that we set a new path on which to walk. The path we have chosen here is one of serenity, and the positive effect it can have on our often troubled lives. With acceptance of one another, that path can be an easier one to take when we openly and sincerely share.

Unacceptable here are flaming, hurtful, demeaning comments, or negativity towards other members. These are the warning signs that someone has ventured down the wrong path here. Effort will be given to find a peaceful middle ground, and when that fails strong action will be taken against those that would break the peace. Every one of us has things in our personal lives that often bring grief and hurt. This forum is not a place to take out our grievances on others, nor is it a place to demand that others be the same.

You are unique, as I am unique, and SerenityFX is a place to affirm that in each other. I have many talents, and I also lack many as well. Here at SerenityFX it is my sincerest hope that we will all share our unique qualities with one another and as a result better ourselves in the process.

The bottom line here; is to be supportive of each other in every way we can be. Together we can make SerenityFX what it was always meant to be; “A place to just relax”!
